Workshop – undergraduate students & faculty members of Furman University, South Carolina, USA

The Foundation hosted a one-day workshop for undergraduate students from Furman University, South Carolina, USA. The students who are studying photography in their undergraduate course were given an overview of the functioning of a modern photography archive in India and the issues relating with access to historical material in India, especially in private institutions. Rahaab Allana and Akshaya Tankha presented brief overviews of photography vis-à-vis the events of 1857 and along with Pramod Kumar, highlighted aspects of the collection that related to the Uprising.
